The Rotary Club of Murray Bridge Environmental Youth Program.
Program Date: 1st week of the end of Term 3 School Holidays, 4 days Monday to Thursday (3 Nights).
Age group: Year 6 app. 11 – 13 years.
Target Group: Rural situated Year 6 Primary School students having limited opportunities.
 
Selecting 12 students in total from disadvantaged and varied impoverished homes "there is no cost to the school, students or families".
Current School list: Callington Primary School, Coomandook Area School, Jervois Primary School, Mannum Community College, Mypolonga Primary School, Swan Reach Area School.
 
Destination is Calperum Station Northeast of Renmark SA., Calperum Connect Deliver an exceptional educational program that provides study pathways to students in the areas of environmental science, ecosystem management and leadership.
The educational environment program “ecology in action” starts when we arrive on the Monday through to Wednesday evening, the students share an ecology in action experience visiting the local wetlands, witnessing animals occupying these areas, along with an Indigenous Culture experience delivered by Daniel Giles "Blak Scarlet". The students learn an ecosystem is a geographic area where plants, animals and other organisms survive along with how the weather and landscape work together to form a bubble of life.
