Rotary Club of Murray Bridge celebrates its 3,400th Meeting. A good time to reflect and update our Club Culture and Identity. Our members believe it starts with a commitment to "Service above Self'.
Our members are of a similar positive mindset of community service from a diversity of vocations and backgrounds.
They undertake activities and projects which are inspirational and interesting,
They wish to make a difference in local and global issues by being in a place of influence and action,
They provide opportunities for members to grow as an individual and in the community,
We enjoy social and leisure activities in a family friendly environment,
Rotary promotes, through its six avenues of service, values of trust, encouragement, productivity, leadership, planning, improving communication skills, life skills and development of role models.
Our Mission is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill and peace, through friendships of dedicated active community members, business, professional, and community leaders.
Vital Signs Monitor
This is a portable electronic device which is connected to a patient and within a minute has accurately measured and recorded a set of vital signs which reflect the clinical health of the patient.
Patient blood pressure, temperature, respiration rate, hypertension diagnosis, and oxygen saturation are vital signs which the machine measures and sends to patient Electronic Medical Records via a WiFi or blue tooth signal.
A clinician has access to accurate vital signs information, supporting improved clinical decision making and patient safety. Each set of data is identified from the electronic code carried by the patient, and the electronic code carried by the clinician. The measurement can be a spot check, or continuing monitoring.
This device costs about $4000.00, and through our District 9510 Grants system our Rotary Club contribution of $2,000.00 is matched by a Rotary Foundation contribution of $2,000.00. Our Club has recently purchased a Vital Signs Monitor for use within our local Hospital.
Rotary District Grants can be used to achieve goals within one or more of the 7 specific Rotary International Areas of Focus, namely;
Promoting Peace
Fighting Disease
Providing Clean Water
Saving Mothers and Babies
Supporting Education
Growing Local Economies
Caring for the Environment
