Through this program model everyone will have the opportunity to gain access to everything our region has to offer, prevailing transport barriers associated with regional living.

The program is now accepting referrals, with mentors in place to start driver training. Once the program is fully operational we plan to expand to other areas of the Murraylands and beyond! More information via www.l2p.org.au

Thank you and congratulations to our partners and sponsors, this program would not be possible without the collaboration of our community - Rural City of Murray Bridge Dutton Motors Murray Bridge Duttons Mitsubishi & Hyundai Department of Human Services, The Regional Employment Trials #RET, Energy Education Australia.

Magdalina Yusufu Mhando on Graduation Day

Dear All at Rotary Club of Murray Bridge,

On Saturday 25th May 2019, Magdalina graduated from Form 6 at The School of St Jude. The Class of 2019 is the fifth year group to reach this milestone at St Jude’s, and all 169 of the graduates who are completing their academic scholarships have been changed by the high-quality education you have supported.

You have watched Magdalina grow into a young adult who will lead the way to a new future for Tanzania. And, on her graduation day, Magdalena's family proudly stood with her for one more official school photo. Please find the family photo, and photos of Magdalina at the ceremony, attached.

The colorful 2019 graduation ceremony featured Maasai dancing, the Form 6 students’ Farewell Song, and the presentation of awards to outstanding graduates and staff. A further highlight was the presentation of a cow to our inspiring Secondary Headmaster, Mr. Mcharo, and a chicken to each of our dedicated Managers who lead the academic, business and support teams that are so integral to providing our students with free, high-quality education. Joining our school community at this year’s graduation ceremony were 70 sponsors and visitors from across the world, including Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Completing the final year of secondary school is a milestone in the life of any young adult, and here in Tanzania, it is an achievement attained by too few young people. Together with hard work and the opportunities you have helped make possible Magdalina has accomplished so much during her time at St Jude’s. We are so proud of her achievements, and we know you will be too!

You will be receiving Magdalina’s Form 6 academic results as soon as they are released. However, it can take some time for the government to publish them, so please be a little patient during this final stage of our graduate's educational journey here at St Jude’s.

For now, we wish to say a heartfelt thank you as it is only due to the extraordinary generosity of sponsors like yourself that we can fulfill our vision of educating the future leaders of Tanzania Together, we have been fighting poverty through education.

Kind Regards,

Grace.
