The two music performances on Wednesday evening were an example of how good the High School’s music programme is. Yes there were a lot of nerves going around which affected the quality of the singing or playing. But it was very brave of all performers to go on the stage and try to control those nerves. It was really good to hear Drew Bettcher the recipient of 2023’s Rotary Music Bursary - he has improved. So has James-Noah Peterson joint recipient of 2024’s Music Bursary. Aliesha Spurling joint recipient of 2024’s Music Bursary was, for me, a standout she has made a big leap forward in the quality and range of her flute playing.
I hope you all received the email from Secretary Julianne regarding the promulgation of proposed members Sandra and Kevin Dalton. Please remember to reply to Julianne confirming you have seen the email. It is exciting that we will shortly be welcoming 4 new members to our Club.

G’day President Jenny and all at Murray Bridge Club
WOW!! 😊
I wanted to write to personally Thank You your Club for your recent generous donation!
FYI – this donation will indeed buy a full truck load of hay (32 bales) which equates to 19.2 Tonne – and that makes a MASSIVE difference, likely to 2 farmers and their livestock.
Keep an eye on our web page. We keep adding details of Trucks delivered plus some new photos here and there.
I have added your Club’s logo to our Web Page to officially recognise this amazing contribution.
Bags for Blokes was the topic presented this week at the Rotary Club of Murray Bridge by Dr Elizabeth Crawley pictured here with President Jenny Alexander Walters and Chairperson Penny Heighes. Elizabeth's children became alarmed at the number of homeless men they saw in Adelaide and were the trigger to together with her to start Bags for Blokes. They had seen a Van with laundry and washing machine near Vinnes and this developed a different understanding of homelessness. There appeared to be a gap in the services for men and boys so this is the support path they took. This started 5 years ago and they have now distributed over 400 bags and are looking for further support. The bags contain items like socks, jocks, drink bottle, toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, towels, band aids, ponchos, antiseptic wipes, combs, shaving cream and razors. The Rotarians present promised to continue support. Its a great example of someone in the community taking Action. Well done the Crawley family. John Scarvelis
