Our joint meeting with Mobilong, at the RSL, was a really successful night. The tour around the museum was so interesting. It is really a hidden gem. The food was good and the company was good judging by the noise of conversations and laughter. It is something we should do again. Congratulations to the Vocational Committee for planning this. Looking forward to other visits you are planning next year.
It was also lovely to see Caitlyn, her mum and baby Peter. There was a lineup to help with him and also have a cuddle with Peter. Margaret I think was first in line. I am waiting my turn and as they only live 5 minutes from our house I can get in a lot of cuddles.
Gordon and Merilyn Schultz had a garage sale and from all accounts have managed to get rid of a lot of things collected in the years they have been in their current house. One little boy walked away with an orange soft toy dog given to him by Merilyn. He had the biggest smile on his face!
It is only just over 6 weeks until Christmas and our break from Rotary activities. Until then we have some very interesting and inspirational speakers coming up before our Christmas party.

TRF Recognition Dinner
White Ribbon Day Launch
On Thursday 7 November her Excellency the Governor Frances Adamson officially opened the 2024 Adelaide WhiteRibbon breakfast at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Over 400 delegates, including a group of Rotarians, listened to a powerful speech by Professor of Criminology (Macquarie University) Dr Vincent Hurley who delivered his message (the one delivered on the Q&A program May 2024) for politicians to take real action on women’s safety; to stop the violence against women and girl."

Calperum Report
The year 6 students from Murraylands Primary Schools who participated in this year's Rotary Club of Murray Bridge Calperum Environmental Camp reported to the Rotarians, watched by their families, on their experience. This is part of the Club's Rotary Assisting Local Youth program and in the second year of this new format. The Camp ran from Monday till Thursday in the first week of the recent school holidays. It allows the students to make new friends, learn some new life skills and about the environment. Please check out our sponsors and support them as they are crucial to the event. Rotary runs programs for locals and internationally and is based on service to communities, peace and goodwill. Learn more about what we do on our facebook page and website. John Scarvelis
Reclaim The Night
Friday evening was an opportunity for Rotarians to be part of the Council sponsored "Reclaim The Night Event".
Rotarians provided a free BBQ for the small crowd who assembled to hear messages from our two local Polititians, Adrian Pederick and Tony Pasin who gave freely of their time.
Sadly the message did not get out to the community as the response was quite poor considering the important story being told.
