Happy Mother’s Day - to all the women in our club (Rotarians, partners of Rotarians and Friends of Rotary) who serve with heart and passion, thank you for making our community a better place. Your dedication is truly inspiring and mirrors the nurturing strength, and selflessness of motherhood. We celebrate all women who mentor, care for, and uplift our community. Thankyou for your passion and the nurturing spirit you bring to every project

Last Tuesday we used our gathering time to conduct our Pioneer Adventure Day Debrief. Thanks for all your great comments – Thanks to Secretary Julieanne for taking the notes – these will be used to take your feedback to the Rotary Club of Adelaide Central for a whole event debrief in the coming days/weeks

While we were debriefing about the events on Sunday, the Hay Truck from the event, was travelling to Loxton and farms on the way, distributing the hay, along with Pantry and Pamper packs to each of the families receiving hay. The expression on the children’s faces says it all – how grateful they were to receive all the items

Wednesday evening and Sandy, Jack and I attended the RC Mobilong weekly gathering to hear local author – Leonie Kelsall - share her writing journey from an idea to a successfully selling novel. It was so encouraging to see how Leonie has used her literary skills since her days in Year 12 English

We continue to have our Rotary Art Show and thanks go to those members who are undertaking their service to the visitors

This week we have:

  • Tuesday Evening - Committee meetings
  • Wednesday May 13th at 7-00am to 8-30am – Murraylands Business Breakfast – at the Bridgeport Hotel – Autumn 2026 – hosted by Peri Strathearn of Murray Bridge News – see me if you would like to attend and do not have a ticket (ticket sales closed Friday May 8th) as I have a couple of spare tickets which include the breakfast

Art Show Attracts Cairns Visitors!

The Rotary Art Show has become well known across Australia with two visitors making the journey from Cairns just to see the exhibition … or … perhaps they were passing through!

Julieanne Sissman welcomed Sandy and Marry-Ann McEachan from Cairns Rotary Club Trinity during her time as a volunteer last week. Our visitors are keen  to learn more about our show as the Cairns show has lapsed.
