Wow, wasn’t John Weeks such an inspiring speaker last week! He has also offered to come back and speak to us, not about his accident, but talk to us about wines and his experiences in the wine industry. Thank you, Jenny, for finding space in the programme for John to come and speak to us.
The Board meeting last Tuesday night had some lively discussions. As a result of discussions in individual committees the Board decided that our Club would like to support the Rotary Overseas Relocated Playgrounds Project but still has reservations which will be addressed in the coming weeks as we receive more information from the Rotary Club of Mount Barker.
The International Committee reported their decision to adopt the Birthing Kits as one of their projects.
The Board approved the sponsoring of Lucas Eagle-Feast as a candidate to sail on the One and All. Lucas attends Murray Bridge High School and was promoted through the Blue Light Boxing programme. Looking forward to hearing Lucas speak about his experiences.
A reminder to all members that District Assembly is on Sunday, March 20th. It is a great experience, especially for newer members. Board members should attend as we move forward with the Rotary Pilot and new information is becoming available.
Thought for the week:
